Get your hands dirty with Joseph, creating letterforms and compositions out of a variety of fun materials. Lettering is fascinating in any form, but working with tactile media is an entirely different process! In this 3-hour workshop, we will cover:
- general lettering principles
- go over tips and tricks for making tactile lettering
- talk about the challenges of various materials
- and most importantly, play with type and words!
We'll start with some information and experimentation, and by the end of the workshop, we'll have each created a fun piece to share on social media.
Any experience level is welcome —whether you're a master typesetter or a dabbler, this isn't about the rules; it's about play! Bring your sense of exploration, and be sure to bring a phone or camera to document your process and final pieces! Supplies will be included, but feel free to bring your laptop if you want to make sketches digitally before creating with your hands. Refreshments & snacks will be provided.
Tickets are non-refundable. A minimum of 5 seats must be sold for class to commence. In which case, tickets will then be refunded.
